Changing the fuel filler cap unit
To remove the fuel filler cap unit, proceed as follows:
Open the filler cap.
Unscrew the 3 outer screws (1) fixing the ring nut to the fuel filler recess.
Unscrew the anti-theft screw (2) on the inside.

Remove the complete filler cap unit.
The breather pipe rubber (3) is seated inside the filler recess.

When fitting a new rubber, apply a uniform film of speed bond adhesive in the seat of the pipe rubber.
Fit the rubber and ensure that it is correctly seated in the filler recess.
Changing the fuel level sensor
Remove the lower flange from the fuel tank following the instructions given in "Changing the fuel filter" in the "Maintenance" section.
Remove the fuel level sensor from the bracket inside the tank and then slide it out of the flexible supports (4).
At reassembly, ensure that the recess (A) on the bottom of the support (4) is aligned with the sensor cable output; install in this position on the fuel level sensor.

Position the sensor so that the end of the central electrode (B) is pointing either forwards or backwards in the direction of travel.
Attach the second support (4) on the other end of the sensor.
With the sensor in this position and with the cable output in the upper position, fit the sensor to the brackets inside the tank.
