To disassemble the front brake master cylinder, it is necessary to remove it from the motorcycle handlebars (see "Front Brake Master Cylinder - Removal and Installation").
Disassembly
1. Using tweezers, remove the damper from its socket at the bottom of the tank.

2. Carefully, so as not to tear it, remove the piston dust cover with tweezers.

3. Using special pliers, remove the piston retaining ring.

4. Remove the piston assembly with the cuff from the cylinder.

5. Remove the cuff assembly with the return spring from the cylinder.

6. Inspect the brake cylinder parts. The cuffs must not have any tears, cracks, or deformations. In addition, the cuffs must be flexible enough. Otherwise, brake fluid leaks are likely to occur and the brake mechanisms may not be effective enough due to fluid bypass. There should be no deep scratches, aluminum lining, or other mechanical damage on the cylinder walls. The dust boot must not have cracks or tears. If necessary, replace parts with the specified damage. Often, if the piston dust boot is damaged, dirt and oxides accumulate on the outer part of the piston. Before assembly, it is necessary to clean the piston from foreign deposits.

1 - piston return spring; 2 - working cuff; 3 - brake cylinder body with brake fluid reservoir; 4 - piston assembly with cuff; 5 - piston retaining ring; 6 - piston dust cover
Attention! Brake mechanism parts may only be washed with clean brake fluid. It is not permissible to use carburetor cleaner, brake cleaner, gasoline, solvents and other similar substances for washing, since the rubber parts of the mechanisms are irreversibly deformed and destroyed upon contact with them.
7. Wash the parts with clean brake fluid.
Assembly
1. Before assembly, it is recommended to blow out all parts and channels of the brake cylinder with compressed air to prevent dust and dirt particles from entering the brake system.
2. Assemble in reverse order.
3. Install the piston return spring with its narrow end towards the working cuff.

The arrow indicates the direction of installation towards the cuff
4. After assembling and installing the brake cylinder in place, bleed the front brake circuit (see "Hydraulic brake drive - replacement of brake fluid and bleeding").
