Assembling the thermostat assembly (Yamaha YZF-R1 Y(C))

1. Install:

Thermostat housing "1"
Thermostat "2"
O-ring "3" New
Thermostat housing cover "4"

A. Fully closed B. Fully open

Thermostat housing cover nut 10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf).

Install the thermostat with its breather hole "a" facing up.
