Grease the speedometer drive components and the inside of the wheel hub.
Insert the driver (A) in the speedometer drive so that the drive teeth engage.
Fit the seal ring. Insert the drive in the wheel so that the driver teeth engage with the slots in the wheel hub.
Insert the complete wheel between the fork legs. Position the speedometer drive vertically so that the drive tab (B) makes contact with the stop on the lower strap of the mudguard support.
Grease the wheel spindle.
Using service tool code no. 000070139, fit the wheel spindle.
Insert the spindle until it stops on the wheel hub; insert the positioning pin of the service tool in the special notches on the fork bottom.
Grease the thread and the spindle lock nut. Fit and tighten the lock nut on the end of the wheel spindle.
Tighten the nut (2) to the specified torque.
Refit the calipers and tighten the caliper retaining bolts to the specified torque.
Check that the brake discs run smoothly inside the calipers.
Connect the speedometer drive cable to the speedometer drive. The cable must run in front of the brake hose.
Before tightening the pinch bolts (1) lower the bike to the ground and press up and down on the handlebars to load the suspension. This will settle the fork legs on the wheel spindle.
Tighten the pinch bolts (1) to the torque specified. Tighten in the sequence 1-2-1.
