Unscrew the wheel spindle nut (1) on the left side of the swinging arm.
Support the caliper holder plate on the right side and remove the wheel spindle from the right side. If this operation is difficult, loosen the chain tensioner bolts (2).
Caution! To prevent damage to the caliper-brake cylinder hose, loosen the retaining screw (3) of the hose clip on the swinging arm and remove the hose from the clip.
Push the wheel forward and remove the chain from the rear sprocket. Remove the complete rear wheel.
Recover the spacer on the left hand side.
Where necessary, overhaul the wheel as described in "Wheel overhaul".
Remove the sprocket flange from the wheel hub and check the condition of the cush drive rubbers.
