To gain access to the fuse box, remove the instrument panel left side cover.
To access the fuses, open the fuse box cover (A). Fuse layout and amperage are shown on the cover. Only 5 fuses are connected up to the system. Three of these are spare.
Caution! Before changing a blown fuse with another fuse of the same amperage, trace and remove the cause of the fault.
The injection relays are protected by three fuses located behind the injection control unit. The amperage of these fuses is the following:
- 1) 7.5 A
- 2) 20 A
- 3) 7.5 A
The 40A fuse located next to the battery protects the electronic regulator. Access to this fuse can be gained by removing the protective cap (B).
Check fuse condition by inspecting the conducting filament. A fuse is blown when its conducting filament (C) is broken.
Caution! To prevent short circuits, ensure that the ignition key is in the OFF position before changing a fuse.
Warning! Use only fuses with the specified amperage. Using fuses with the incorrect amperage may damage the electrical system and may cause fires.
