Disconnecting the righthand side electrical connections (Ducati ST2)

Unscrew the clamp screw and disconnect the earth cable (5) from the engine.

At reassembly, spread a coating of grease for electrical contacts on the earth cable fitting.

Remove the cable tie (A) and disconnect the neutral indicator light (6) connections from the main cable.



Remove the protective cap (B) and disconnect the push-on connector of the main cable from the pressure switch.

At reassembly ensure that the protective cap is correctly fitted to the thermostat. The air inside the cap is vital to the perfect operation of the thermostat and compensates for the pressure differences to which this component is subject.

Caution! Change damaged caps. Damage to the cap will cause oxidation of the contacts and lead to operating faults.


Ducati Spare Parts Service provides two spares kits for this component. Kit 1 consists of a complete thermostat with protective cover and push-on connector (see fig. A). Kit 2 consists of a protective cover and push-on connector (fig. B).
