During repair work always renew gaskets, seals and split pins.

When loosening or tightening nuts and bolts, always start with the largest and always start from the centre. Tighten nuts and bolts working diagonally; tighten to the specified torque wrench settings.

At disassembly, mark any parts and positions which might easily be confused at reassembly.

Only use Ducati original spare parts. Only use the recommended lubricants.

Use special service tools and fixtures . where specified.

Ducati Technical Bulletins often contain up-dated versions of the service procedures in this manual. Check the latest Bulletin for details.
