- Front Fork Legs — Oil Change
It is recommended to change the oil in the fork every 15,000 km or during servicing of the fork legs.
We install the motorcycle on the center stand.
1. Place a container for draining the oil under the fork leg and use a 10 mm wrench to unscrew the drain bolt.
2. Using a 17 mm wrench, unscrew the top nut (tip) fork feather and let the oil drain completely.
To speed up the oil draining, it is recommended to press the upper part of the fork several times, compressing the springs. When the oil drains, it is necessary to tighten the drain bolt to 7-8 Nm and pour 100-150 ml of kerosene or white spirit into the feather for flushing. Squeeze and unclench the feather several times, then drain the flushing liquid by unscrewing the drain bolt. Drain the flushing liquid. Replace the copper washer located under the drain bolt and tighten the bolt.
3. Pour 499 ml of fresh oil into the fork and tighten the top nut (tip) pen with a torque of 22 Nm.
