Changing the final drive oil (Yamaha XVS 1100 Drag Star)

1. Place a container under the final drive housing.

2. Remove:

• final drive housing oil filler bolt (1)
• final drive housing oil drain bolt (2)

Completely drain the final drive housing of its oil.



3. Check: final drive housing oil drain bolt gasket

Damage → Replace.

4. Install: final drive housing oil drain bolt: 23 Nm (2.3 m·kg)

5. Fill: final drive housing (with the specified amount of the recommended final drive oil)

Quantity 0.2 L. Refer to "Checking the final drive oil level".
