Checking the brake hoses (Yamaha XVS 1100 Drag Star)

The following procedure applies to all of the brake hoses and clamps.



1. Check: brake hose

Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.

2. Check: brake hose clamp

Loose connection → Tighten.

3. Hold the motorcycle upright and apply the brake.

4. Check: brake hose

Activate the brake several times.

Brake fluid leakage → Replace the damaged hose. Refer to "Front and rear brakes".
