Using the immobilizer (Aprilia Shiver 750)

To increase security against theft, this vehicle is equipped with an electronic immobilizer, which automatically turns on when the key is removed from the ignition.

Keep the second key in a safe place, as if it is lost it will be impossible to make a duplicate. Many vehicle parts will have to be replaced (in addition to locks).

In the head of each key there is an electronic device - a transponder, which, when the engine starts, modulates a radio frequency signal emitted by a special antenna built into the ignition switch.

This modulated signal is «password», by which the corresponding central unit recognizes the key and only then allows the engine to start.

Attention!

• A maximum of four keys can be stored in the immobilizer memory.
• Data recording can only be done by your dealer.
• When data is written, existing codes are canceled. Therefore, if the user wants to program new keys, it is necessary to take with him when visiting the dealer all the keys that should be recognized by the immobilizer.

The immobilizer operating mode is indicated by a warning lamp (1) on the dashboard.

• The immobilizer is disabled, the warning lamp does not light up.
• The immobilizer is turned on and the warning light is on.
• The key is not recognized, fast blinking.
