The rectifier regulator is located beneath the right-hand bracket of the headlight; the bracket also acts as a heat sink for the regulator.
At reassembly, apply a heat conductive paste to the contact surface of the headlight bracket in order to facilitate the dissipation of heat.
The regulator rectifier consists of an aluminium box containing the diodes used to rectify the current produced by the generator. It also includes an electronic device that operates in accordance with the state of battery charge. If the battery is low, the recharging current will be high. If the battery is well-charged (12-14V), the recharging current will be 4-2A.
