Washing

Chains with O-rings must be washed in petrol, diesel fuel or paraffin oil.

Do not use benzene, trylene or other solvents which will damage the rubber O-rings. Only use sprays which specify that they are for use with O-ring chains.

Lubrication

Chains with O-rings have sealed, permanent lubrication in the link pins and bushes. This type of chain must however be lubricated at regular intervals to protect the metal parts and to keep the O-rings soft and pliable.

Using a brush, apply a thin protective film of high density SAE 80-90 engine oil along the entire length of the chain.
