Prepare



1. Remove right side cover. See Side covers.

Note: Lifting rear of fuel tank is only necessary for replacing purge solenoid to induction module line.


2. Lift rear of fuel tank if necessary. See Lift rear of fuel tank.

Remove



1. See Figure 6-26. Remove valve-to-canister line.
  • a. Detach valve-to-canister line (4) from vapor valve.
  • b. Detach valve-to-canister line (4) from charcoal canister.
  • c. Remove valve-to-canister line (4).

2. Remove canister-to-solenoid line.
  • a. Detach canister-to-solenoid line (1) from charcoal canister (5).
  • b. Detach canister-to-solenoid line (1) from purge solenoid (2).
  • c. Remove canister-to-solenoid line (1).

3. Remove solenoid-to-induction module line.
  • a. Detach solenoid-to-induction module line (3) from purge solenoid.
  • b. See Figure 6-27. Detach solenoid-to-induction module line from induction module.
  • c. Remove solenoid-to-induction module line.

Install



Note: Vapor valve is located behind purge solenoid.


1. See Figure 6-26. Install valve-to-canister line.
  • a. Place line valve-to-canister (4) into position.
  • b. Attach line valve-to-canister (4) to charcoal canister (5).
  • c. Attach line valve-to-canister (4) to vapor valve.

2. Install canister to solenoid line.
  • a. Place line canister-to-solenoid line (1) into position.
  • b. Attach line canister-to-solenoid line (1) to charcoal canister (5).
  • c. Attach line canister-to-solenoid line (1) to purge solenoid (2).

3. Install solenoid-to-induction module line.
  • a. See Figure 6-27. Place solenoid-to-induction module line into position.
  • b. Attach solenoid-to-induction module line to induction module.
  • c. See Figure 6-26. Attach solenoid-to-induction module line (3) to purge solenoid (2).
