When servicing and repairing the fuel system, remember that gasoline is an extremely flammable and explosive liquid. When working with fuel, you can get serious burns and injuries if you do not follow safety precautions. When refueling a motorcycle, turn off the engine and do not bring heat, sparks or open flames near the fuel. Refueling should only be done outdoors. If fuel splashes onto the paintwork, wipe off the spilled fuel immediately. When refueling at a gas station, visually check the fuel level in the tank and do not allow overflow.
Before starting work on the fuel system, it is necessary to disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery. It should be remembered that gasoline vapors are toxic, and therefore all work on the fuel system must be carried out in a well-ventilated area.
