Drive and driven clutch discs
Note. Wipe off the oil from the drive and driven clutch discs with a clean rag.
Measure the thickness of all drive discs with a caliper. If the disc thickness is outside the acceptable range, replace the disc with a new one.
Thickness measurement
Thickness of clutch drive discs. Norm (for discs No. 1 and 2): 2.92–3.08 mm
09900-20102: Vernier caliper
Driven clutch discs
Measure the deformation of each disc using a feeler gauge and test plate. If the flatness exceeds the permissible limit, replace all driven disks as a set.
Distortion measurement (disc irregularities)
Non-flatness of driven disks. Tolerance: 0.10mm
09900-20803: Dipstick
Clutch spring free length
Using a caliper, measure the free length of each spring. If any spring is outside the specified length, replace all springs as a set.
Clutch spring free length. Tolerance: 39.0 mm
09900-20102: Vernier caliper
Clutch release bearing
Check the bearing for defects, especially cracks, to determine suitability.
The smooth operation of the clutch largely depends on the condition of this bearing.
Clutch release rod and clutch release shaft
Check the rod and shaft for wear and damage.
Check the clutch release bearing for defects.
