Changing the engine oil
Place a suitable container under the engine crankcase. Unscrew the plug (1) and drain the engine oil.
Remove the oil filler plug (2).
Screw in the oil drain plug (1) at the appropriate moment.
Fill in new oil through the oil filler neck. When changing the oil (without filter replacement), the engine contains approximately 1.1 liters of oil. Use engine oil that meets the requirements of API quality group SF or SG with a viscosity of SAE 10W-40.
Oil drain plug (1): 21 Nm (2.1kgf-m).
Make sure the engine is cold.
Place the motorcycle upright on a flat surface.
Screw in the oil filler plug (2).
Start the engine and let it idle for three minutes.
Stop the engine and wait about three minutes, then check the oil level through the sight glass. If the oil level is below the mark «L», then add oil to the mark «F». If the level is above the mark «F», then drain the excess oil.
Replacing the oil filter
Drain the engine oil as described above.
Remove the oil filter cover (1) and oil filter (2).
Replace the filter with a new one.
Note. Before installing the oil filter cap, make sure that the spring (3) and a new rubber ring (4) installed correctly.
Make sure the rubber o-ring (5) behind the filter is installed correctly.
Install the oil filter cover and tighten the cover bolts.
Fill with new oil and check its level as described above.
Oil volume
- Oil change: 1.1 l
- Oil and filter change: 1.2 l
- Full replacement: 1.6 l
Attention! When installing the oil filter, make sure it is installed as shown in the illustration. Incorrect installation can cause serious engine damage.
