Ignition circuit breaker system (Yamaha FZ1)

Ignition circuit breaker system (which includes limit switches for side stop, clutch and neutral gear) performs the following functions.

• Prevents the engine from starting when the gear is (except neutral) is engaged and the side stand is raised, but the clutch lever is not depressed.
• Prevents the engine from starting when the gear is (except neutral) is engaged and the clutch lever is depressed, but the side stand is not raised.
• Stops a running engine when the gear is engaged and the side stand is lowered.

Periodically check the operation of the ignition circuit breaker system using the procedure below.
