While the engine is still completely new, do not overload it during the first 1600 km. The engine parts are ground in and run in until the correct working conditions are achieved with a gap between them. During this period, avoid operating the engine for extended periods at full throttle or under any conditions that could cause overheating.
0-1000 km
Avoid prolonged operation of the engine at rotation speeds above 6000 rpm.
Warning! After 1000 km, the engine oil and oil filter or its filter element should be replaced.
1000-1600 km
Avoid prolonged operation of the engine at rotation speeds above 7200 rpm.
1600 km and beyond
The motorcycle can be used normally.
Warning!
- Do not allow the engine to operate in the red zone of the tachometer.
- If any problems occur during the engine break-in period, have your motorcycle checked by a Yamaha dealer immediately.
