Warning! Objects in mirrors are closer than they appear in the mirror. Be careful when judging distance based on the appearance of objects in mirrors. Failure to maintain proper distances can result in serious injury or death.
Your motorcycle is equipped with two convex rear view mirrors. This type of mirror is used to give a wider view to the rear than a flat mirror. However, cars and other objects seen in such a mirror will appear smaller and therefore further away than they actually are.
Use caution when judging the size or relative distance of objects visible in your rearview mirrors.
Before driving, always adjust your rear view mirrors so that they clearly show the rear of the motorcycle.
Note. Adjust the mirrors so that a small portion of your shoulder is visible in each mirror. This will help you more accurately determine the distance to vehicles behind your motorcycle.
