Cylinder head cover — disassembly and assembly (Suzuki DL650 V-Strom)

Disassembly

Caution! Be sure to identify each removed part as to its location, and lay the parts out in groups designated as "No.1", "No.2" "Exhaust", "Intake", so that each will be restored to the original location during assembly.

Remove the PAIR reed valve cover (1).

Inspection

Inspect the PAIR reed valve for damage and the carbon deposit. If any damage or the carbon deposit is found in the reed valve, replace it with a new one.

Reassembly

Install the PAIR reed valve as shown.



Apply THREAD LOCK to the bolts and then install the PAIR reed valve cover.

• 99000-32050: THREAD LOCK "1342"

Note: The inlet pipe of the PAIR reed valve cover must face left side of the engine.
