Become familiar with all controls and their functions before riding your motorcycle. Consult your Yamaha dealer if you do not understand the functions of any of the controls.

Never start the engine or let it run in enclosed spaces, even for a short time. Exhaust fumes are poisonous and inhalation can cause loss of consciousness and death within a very short time. Always provide adequate ventilation.

Before driving off, check that the side stand is raised. If the side stand is not fully raised, it may become caught on the ground and distract the rider, possibly resulting in loss of control of the motorcycle.
