The vehicle is equipped with a muffler with a metal catalytic converter type «platinum - palladium - rhodium» with three functions.

This device oxidizes CO (carbon monoxide) and NS (unburned hydrocarbons), present in the exhaust gases, converting them into carbon dioxide and water vapor respectively.

Attention!
  • Do not leave the vehicle in a parking lot where the catalytic converter will be located next to dry bushes, or in places easily accessible to children, as the catalytic converter becomes very hot during operation; Therefore, be extremely careful not to touch the inverter until it has completely cooled down.
  • Do not use leaded gasoline as it will cause permanent damage to the catalytic converter.

Vehicle owners should be aware that the following activities may be prohibited by law.

Removal of any device or part of a new vehicle or any other action by any person resulting in the inoperability of such device or part intended to control noise levels (except as required for maintenance, repair or replacement) before the sale or delivery of the vehicle to the final buyer, as well as during the operation of the vehicle.

Use of a vehicle from which devices or parts have been removed, or devices or parts have been disabled.

Check the muffler and exhaust pipes for any signs of corrosion or holes and that the exhaust system is working properly.

If you notice an increase in the volume of the exhaust system, contact your authorized Aprilia dealer immediately.

Note. No modifications to the exhaust system are permitted.
