Warning! Incorrectly positioned hoses can cause braking faults. Incorrectly positioned hoses can interfere with moving parts. Fit and position brake hoses as shown in the figures.
To fix the front brake hose to the lower steering yoke, proceed as follows:
Position the rubber grommet (A) on the brake hose at the lower steering yoke.
Fit the bracket (1) on the lower steering yoke with the end bent over the grommet.
Fix the bracket to the lower yoke with the screws (2). Check that there is sufficient slack in the section of hose above the bracket to allow the handlebars to be turned full-lock from left to right without stretching the hose. This section of hose should also not be too long.
Tighten the two screws (2) to the torque specified.
To fix the rear brake hose in position, proceed as follows:
Fit a clip (B) around the brake cylinder-caliper brake hose (3), the cylinder-reservoir hose (4) and the rear stop light switch (5) cable.
Caution! Do not overtighten the clip. Do not pinch, squash or kink the hoses.
Position the clip at the swinging arm pivot and push the hoses between the arm fork and the engine so that the hoses are in contact with the engine.
Position the hose bracket (6) inside the right-hand side footrest so that it is vertical.
Fit the brake hose (3) in the bracket and under the support (7).
Position the brake hose as shown in the figure and then tighten the screw (8) to the torque specified.
