1. Fuel tank filler neck; 2. Level
Check if there is enough fuel in the tank. Fill the fuel tank to the bottom edge of the filler neck as shown in the illustration.
Warning!
- Do not overfill the fuel tank, otherwise fuel may spill out as it expands due to heat.
- Do not allow fuel to come into contact with a hot engine.
Caution! Wipe up spilled fuel immediately with a clean, dry, soft cloth as fuel may damage painted surfaces or plastic parts.
Recommended fuel: REGULAR UNLEADED GASOLINE ONLY
Fuel tank capacity:
- Total quantity: 17, liters
- Reserve quantity: 4.5 liters
Caution! Use only unleaded gasoline. The use of leaded gasoline causes serious damage to internal engine parts such as valves, piston rings, exhaust system, etc.
Your Yamaha engine is designed to use regular unleaded gasoline with a research octane rating of 91 or higher. When detonation occurs (knocking in the engine) Use a different brand of gasoline or higher quality unleaded fuel. Using unleaded fuel extends spark plug life and reduces maintenance costs.
