To start a cold engine, a richer air-fuel mixture is required, which is provided by the starting device (air damper).
Move the lever to position (a) to use the jump starter (air damper).
Move the lever to position (b) to return the starter (air damper) to the starting position.
Caution! Do not use a jump starter (air damper) longer than 3 minutes, as excessive heat will cause the exhaust pipe to change color. In addition, prolonged use of the starting device causes the fuel to burn out in the exhaust tract. If this happens, turn off the jump starter (open the air damper).
