Periodically check the operation of the ignition interlock system by performing the following procedures.
Warning! If any malfunction is detected, have this system checked by a Yamaha dealer before you continue to operate the motorcycle.
With the engine stopped: 1. Lower the side stand. 2. The engine stop switch must be in the "" position. 3. Turn the key to the "ON" position " ("ON"). 4. Place the transmission in neutral. 5. Press the starter switch. Does the engine start? | NO → | The neutral switch may be faulty. The motorcycle must not be ridden until it has been inspected by a Yamaha dealer. |
