- It prevents the engine from starting when the gear is engaged and the side stand is raised, but with the clutch lever released.
- It prevents the engine from starting when the gear is engaged and the clutch lever is depressed, but with the side stand lowered.
- It causes the engine to stop when the side stand is lowered while in gear.
Periodically check the operation of the ignition interlock system by performing the following procedures.
Warning! If any malfunction is detected, have this system checked by a Yamaha dealer before you continue to operate the motorcycle.
