Code card (Ducati Monster 696)

Code card (pic. thirty) is an application for ignition keys. There is an electronic code written on it (A, fig. 31), which will be useful if the engine is blocked by the immobilization system and, as a result, does not start.

Your Ducati dealer may ask for a code card to enable certain service operations

Attention! Keep the code card in a safe place.

It is recommended to carry the code printed on the card with you for a number of operations related to unlocking the engine. These are cases when the immobilization blocking system is triggered when the warning light is on «indicator self-diagnosis» (8, fig. 4).

Carrying out such operations is possible only if the code is known (A), indicated on the map.

Attention! The dealer will ask you to provide a code card in order to reprogram or replace the ignition key.
