Regulator (1), located on the left side of the shock absorber near where it mounts to the rear subframe, modifies the rebound damping. Turn the knob (1) clockwise to increase damping (Hard) and counterclockwise to soften (Soft).
STANDARD settings:
Screw the regulator in completely (clockwise) and unscrew it back eight clicks.
Two nuts (2) At the bottom of the shock absorber, the pretension of the external spring is adjusted.
To adjust pretension, first loosen the outer locknut. The pretension is changed by rotating the second nut in one direction or another.
The STANDARD length of springs on a rear wheel raised above the ground is 150±1 mm.
Attention! When adjusting the spring pretension, do not exceed their length by more than 181 mm. This will avoid damage to the pendulum suspension arm.
Attention! Use pin (hook) wrench for turning the pre-tensioner nuts. Use extreme caution to avoid injury to your hands when the key slips out of its grip.
Attention! The shock absorber is filled with high pressure gas, and disassembling it without special skills can lead to injury.
If you intend to carry both a passenger and cargo, tighten the springs as much as possible. This will improve the motorcycle's handling and restore ground clearance. The rebound damping may also need to be adjusted accordingly.
