Pic. 51.
Mileage up to 1000 km
During the first thousand kilometers, constantly monitor the speed value (rpm). The indicator readings should not exceed 5500-6000 rpm.
In the first few hours, it is recommended to constantly change the load and engine speed, but not exceed the above limit.
Winding, hilly roads are ideal for breaking in the engine, suspension and brakes.
Use the brakes carefully for the first 100 km. Don't push too hard or brake for too long. These recommendations will help the brake pads and discs get used to each other correctly.
To ensure mutual adaptation of the moving mechanical parts of the motorcycle and to ensure that the engine parts remain operational for a long time, it is recommended to avoid sudden accelerations and prolonged driving at high speeds during the break-in period, especially when driving uphill.
It is also recommended to regularly check that the drive chain is well lubricated.
Mileage from 1000 to 2500 km
You can use more engine power, but do not exceed 7000 rpm.
Important
During the break-in period, strictly adhere to the maintenance schedule specified in the warranty booklet.
Failure to follow these instructions releases Ducati Motor Holding SpA from any liability arising from damage to the engine or reduction in its useful life.
Following the recommendations for using a motorcycle during the break-in period increases the life of the engine and reduces the need for major repairs and retuning.
