Transport mode (Harley-Davidson V-Rod, 2002-2006) [Information for owner: Keys and alarm]

It is possible to enable the security system so that the motorcycle motion detector is not activated for one ignition cycle. This allows you to remove the motorcycle from the stand and start driving with the security system on, but if you try to start the engine, the alarm will sound.

To enable transport mode:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the IGNITION position.

2. Set the engine stop switch to the OFF position.

3. When the key fob assigned to the motorcycle is within view of the security system, turn the ignition switch from the IGNITION position to the ACC position, or from the OFF position to the ACC position (depending on what position he was in before).

4. Press the right and left turn signal switches at the same time.

This must be done no later than 5 seconds after turning the ignition key to the ACC position.

5. After the turn signals flash once, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and the module will turn on.

To turn off transport mode:

Returning the system to normal operation:

1. When the key fob is near the motorcycle, turn the ignition switch to the IGNITION position to turn off the automatic security system module. To cancel transport mode, set the engine stop switch to the RUN position.
