Reassembly left casing (Ducati ST2)

Before refitting, check that the following have been fitted correctly to the left casing:
  • the generator stator;
  • the crankshaft bearing;
  • the motor sensor;
  • the bush;
  • the gearbox lever shaft seal ring;
  • the water pump assembly.

Degrease and remove any deposits from the left crankcase half and alterna tor cover coupling surfaces.

Apply "THREE BOND" liquid seal on the contact surface, avoiding the holes for the screws and bushes.

Fit the 2 reference bushes and fit the casing. When positioning the left casing on the crankcase half, ensure that the end part of the pump shaft engages perfectly with the splines in the timing shaft and that the end of the crankshaft easily engages with the bearing, previously fitted on the left casing.

Insert the screws as shown in the diagram.

Tighten the screws at the specified torque, following the numbered sequence shown in the diagram.
