The air gap between the ends of the engine sensor and the front surface of the timing gear teeth must be: 0.6-0.8 mm/0.0236-0.0314 in.

There is a plug (A) with seal to facilitate testing of the air gap on the left crankcase half.

Insert the blade of a feeler gauge through this hole and measure the air gap.

Spare seals are available with 0.5, 0.3 and 0.2 mm thickness for the set air gap.

When this is completed, refit the plug (A) with seal.
