Using the x 1 Ω hand tester range, measure the resistance as shown.
  • [A] Terminal Bolt and Positive Brush
  • [B] Right-hand End Cover and Negative Brush

★ If there is not close to zero ohms, the brush lead has an open. Replace the positive brush assembly and/or the negative brush subassembly.
