Check the condition and the diameters of the rocker arm hole and the corresponding pin hole:
- Rocker arm inner hole nominal diameter: 10.040-10.062 mm
- pin nominal diameter: 10.001-10.010 mm
Check that the work surfaces of the adjusters and return caps of the valves are perfectly flat and show no signs of wear.

Rocker arm pin-rocker arm coupling
The coupling clearance must be 0.03+ 0.06 mm/0.0012-0.0024 in.
Maximum wear limit: 0.08 mm/0.0031 in.
The rocker arm pins must be fitted on the head using a little force.
If there is excessive play, fit pins oversized by 0.02 mm, available from the Spare Parts Service.
Rocker arm springs
Inspect the closing rocker arm springs carefully. There must be no cracks, deformation or slackening.
