Radiator fan — removal, disassembly, assembly and installation (Honda CB400SF/1)

To remove the fan, you must first remove the radiator and fan assembly from the motorcycle (see «Cooling system radiator - removal and installation»).

Removing

1. Using an 8 mm wrench, unscrew the bolts securing the fan to the radiator frame.



2. Remove the fan.

Disassembly

1. We bend the clamps and remove the wires from the fan motor.



2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the motor.



3. Shoot diffuser.



4. Using a 7 mm wrench, unscrew the impeller fastening nut.



5. Remove the fan impeller from the motor shaft.

Assembly and installation

We assemble and install the fan in the reverse order.
