It is recommended to flush the chain every 1500 km (every three lubrications). The chain lubricant is very sticky, so a large amount of dust and sand sticks to it while riding. A layer of dirt on the chain impairs the performance properties of the chain and also increases abrasive wear of the chain and sprockets.

It is recommended to clean the chain with a brush with synthetic bristles, while treating it with a special composition for washing chains in an aerosol can. You can also use diesel fuel or kerosene.

After washing and before lubricating the chain, it is necessary to dry it, since chain lubrication «won't lie down» on a layer of kerosene or cleaner. To do this, place the motorcycle on the center stand and fix it so that the rear wheel is securely suspended, start the engine, engage the gear and let the wheel spin for a minute at high speed.
