At reassembly ensure that all parts are refitted as shown in the relative section.
Unhook the spring (2) and remove the silencer from the exhaust pipe.
At reassembly, refit the spring with the hook end pointing downwards.
Remove the other silencer in the same way.
Loosen the clamping screw on the clip (3) joining the horizontal pipe to the vertical pipe.
Loosen and remove the nuts (4) from the head rings.
Slide the rings off the stud bolts and recover the bushes (5).
Disconnect the horizontal exhaust pipe from the head and from the vertical pipe and recover the seal ring (6).
Remove the vertical exhaust pipe from the head and recover the seal ring (6).
Caution! Block off the exhaust inlets on the cylinder heads to prevent dirt and extraneous objects from entering the combustion chamber.
When refitting the exhaust pipes, use sealant paste on the horizontal and vertical exhaust intakes.
