1. Slowly turn the throttle control clockwise (towards the front of the motorcycle), to close the throttle (reduce speed).
2. Slowly turn the throttle control counterclockwise (towards the rear of the motorcycle), to open the throttle (increase a speed).
Warning! Do not tighten the throttle clutch adjusting screw until the engine automatically returns to idle. Over-tightening this screw may cause you to lose control of the motorcycle. This could, in turn, result in serious injury or death.
3. Adjust the throttle clutch adjustment screw so that the throttle returns to idle when you remove your hand from the grip.
4. As the screw is tightened, the grip in the handle increases. As a result, the throttle opens and closes more smoothly.
Note. The throttle clutch adjustment screw should not be adjusted when temporarily stopping and then moving.
