Examination
1. To check the condition of the swingarm bearings, install the motorcycle on the center stand and hang the rear wheel (the wheel must not touch the ground).
2. We take the ends of the pendulum at the back and try to swing it left and right. If play is felt or light knocking noises are heard, the bearings must be replaced (see «Rear suspension pendulum - bearing replacement»).
Removing
We put the motorcycle on the center stand and hang the rear wheel.
To remove the swingarm, you need to remove the rear wheel (see «Rear wheel - removal and installation»), shock absorbers (see «Rear suspension shock absorber - removal and installation»), casing chains (see «Drive chain - replacement»).
1. With a thin slotted screwdriver, pry off and remove from the sockets two plugs of the pendulum axis (located on opposite sides).
2. Holding the axle from turning with a 17 mm socket wrench...
... using a 19 mm socket wrench, unscrew the nut of the pendulum axis.
3. With a hammer, we knock out the axis through a soft metal drift.
4. Holding the pendulum, take out the axis.
5. We take out the pendulum from the motorcycle frame.
6. To check the geometry of the pendulum, put the removed pendulum on a flat, even surface (piece of glass) and control the gaps between the surface and the pendulum at different points. The pendulum must be in full contact with the plane. If a distortion in the plane of more than 3 mm is noticeable at one of the ends of the pendulum, it must be replaced.

Installation
We install the pendulum in the reverse order.
Before installing the axle, lubricate it with a thin layer of grease.
We tighten the pendulum axle nut with a torque of 88 Nm.
