Timing chain removal (Aprilia Shiver 750)

Remove the chain tensioner.

Remove the main pinion.

Remove the movable chain slider and release the fixed chain slider from the clamp.

Unscrew and remove the pin of the timing chain intermediate gear paying attention not to damage the O-ring.

Collect the washer.



Remove the timing chain intermediate gear.



Slide off the timing chain from the crankshaft.

Note. It is advisable to mark the chain in order to ensure that the initial direction of rotation is maintained.
