Prepare



1. Remove seat. See Removing and installing seat.

2. Remove right side cover. See Side covers.

3. Lift rear of fuel tank. See Lift rear of fuel tank.

Remove



1. See Figure 6-12. Remove upper vent line.
  • a. Discard cable strap (4).
  • b. Detach upper vent line (1) from vapor valve (2).
  • c. Detach upper vent line from fuel tank.
  • d. Remove upper vent line.

2. Remove lower vent line.
  • a. Detach lower vent line (3) from vapor valve (2).
  • b. Remove lower vent line.

Install



1. See Figure 6-12. Install upper vent line.
  • a. Install upper vent line.
  • b. Attach upper vent line (1) to fuel tank.
  • c. Attach upper vent line to vapor valve (2).
  • d. Install new cable strap (4).

2. Install lower vent line.
  • a. Install lower vent line.
  • b. Attach lower vent line (3) to vapor valve (2).

Complete



1. Secure rear of fuel tank. See Lift rear of fuel tank.

2. Install right side cover. See Side covers.
