Prepare
1. Remove right side cover. See Side covers.
2. Models with purge solenoid: Detach purge solenoid from battery tray. See Purge solenoid: California emissions.
Remove
1. See Figure 6-13. Remove vapor valve.
- a. Detach hoses from vapor valve.
- b. Remove vapor valve.
Install
Warning: Excessive pressure can build in the fuel tank if vapor valve is not mounted vertically with long fitting to top. Leaks due to excessive pressure can cause a fire or explosion, which could result in death or serious injury.
