Prepare
Warning: Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive. Keep gasoline away from ignition sources which could result in death or serious injury. See the Safety chapter.
Warning: To prevent spray of fuel, purge system of high-pressure fuel before supply line is disconnected. Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive, which could result in death or serious injury.
1. Purge fuel supply line. See Fuel line.
2. Remove main fuse. See Fuses and relays.
3. Remove air cleaner assembly. See Air cleaner assembly.
4. Lift rear of fuel tank. See Lift rear of fuel tank.
5. Disconnect engine harness connectors from induction module. See Engine wire harness.
6. Remove throttle cables from induction module. See Throttle control.
Remove
Note. Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is not serviceable. Replace induction module if necessary.
1. See Figure 6-19. Remove induction module.
- a. Remove clamps (1).
- b. Remove induction module (2).
Install
1. See Figure 6-19. Install induction module.
- a. Install induction module (2).
- b. Install clamps (1). Tighten until induction module is secure.

Complete
1. Install throttle cables to induction module. See Throttle control.
2. Connect engine harness connectors to induction module.

5. Install main fuse. See Power disconnect.
