Prepare
Warning: Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive. Keep gasoline away from ignition sources which could result in death or serious injury. See the Safety chapter.
Warning: To prevent spray of fuel, purge system of high-pressure fuel before supply line is disconnected. Gasoline is extremely flammable and highly explosive, which could result in death or serious injury.
1. Purge fuel supply line. See Fuel line.
2. Remove main fuse. See Power disconnect.
3. Remove air cleaner assembly. See Air cleaner assembly.
4. Lift rear of fuel tank. See Lift rear of fuel tank.
Remove
1. Disconnect fuel injector connectors.
2. See Figure 6-15. Remove fuel rail and fuel injectors as an assembly.
- a. Remove screws (2).
- b. Remove fuel rail (1) with fuel injectors (3).
3. See Figure 6-16. Remove fuel injectors.
- a. Remove clip (2) securing pipe (1) to fuel injector (4).
- b. Discard O-rings (3, 6).
Install

1. See Figure 6-16. Assemble fuel injectors to fuel rail.
- a. Secure fuel injector (4) to pipe (1) with clip (2).
- b. Install new O-rings (6) on fuel rail (5).
- c. Attach each pipe (1) to fuel rail (5).
- d. Install new O-ring (3) on each fuel injector (4).
2. See Figure 6-15. Install fuel rail with fuel injectors to intake manifold.
- a. Install fuel rail (1) with fuel injectors (3) to intake manifold.
- b. Install screws (2). Tighten to 2.5-4.5 Nm (23-39 in·lbs).
3. Connect fuel injector connectors.

Complete
1. Secure rear of fuel tank. See Lift rear of fuel tank.
2. Install air cleaner assembly. See Fuel line.
3. Install main fuse. See Power disconnect.
