Fuel tank
The fuel tank capacity, including reserve volume, is: 18.0 l.
To open the fuel filler cap (1) insert the ignition key (2) and turn it clockwise. The fuel tank cap is hinged. Do not overfill the fuel tank. In the filler neck (3) there should be no fuel. When refueling is complete, to close the fuel tank cap, press it until it clicks and closes. Remove the key.
Attention! Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive. Working with fuel can cause serious burns and injuries.
- Stop the engine and keep fuel away from heat, sparks and open flames.
- Refuel only in the fresh air.
- Wipe up any splashes or spilled fuel immediately.

Use unleaded gasoline with a research octane rating of 91 or higher. Using leaded gasoline will cause premature failure of the catalytic converter.
Note. If metallic detonation knocks are heard when driving at a constant speed and normal load on the engine, change the brand of gasoline used. If the knocking noise does not stop after this, contact your authorized Honda dealer. Failure to do so will be considered misuse of the motorcycle, and malfunctions caused by misuse will not be covered by the Honda warranty.
Use of alcohol-containing fuels
If you choose to run your engine on gasoline containing alcohol, make sure the fuel's octane rating is at least equal to that recommended by Honda. There are two types of alcohol-containing gasoline. One of them contains ethanol, and the other contains methanol. Do not use gasoline containing more than 10% ethanol. Do not use gasoline containing methanol (wood alcohol), if its composition does not contain solvents and inhibitors that reduce the corrosive activity of methanol. Do not use gasoline containing more than 5% methanol, even if it contains solvents and corrosion inhibitors.
Damage to parts of the fuel supply system, as well as deterioration in engine performance that occurred due to the use of gasoline containing alcohol, is not covered by the factory warranty. Honda cannot support the use of gasoline containing methanol as there is currently no comprehensive evidence of its suitability. Before filling up at an unfamiliar gas station, try to find out if the fuel contains alcohol. If it is, find out the type of alcohol and its percentage in the fuel. If you notice signs of engine malfunction when using gasoline that contains or may in your opinion contain alcohol, then stop operating the engine on this fuel and use only gasoline that is guaranteed to be alcohol-free.
