Removal

Place the left hand crankcase in a press and extract the roller cage with the specific tool.

Note. Repeat the same operation for the right hand crankcase half.

Specific tooling: 020724Y Gear control rod roller cage punch

Installation

Place the left hand crankcase in a press and install the roller cage with the specific tool.

Caution! To install the roller cage in the right hand crankcase half, work with the cylinder on the side of the 1 mm (*) step on the tool turned toward the roller cage, whereas to install the cage in the left hand crankcase half, use the cylinder on the side of the 2 mm (**) step on the tool.
