Loosen the jubilee clips and remove the pump cover cylinder connection hose.
Bring the piston to the top dead centre.
Carefully extract the cylinder, tapping it gently with a rubber hammer, if necessary.
Lift the cylinder until the gudgeon pin can be accessed.
If you wish to remove the piston with the cylinder, proceed as follows:
- block the crank casing opening and remove a gudgeon pin clamp;
- operating on the opposite side, remove the gudgeon pin using a cylindrical pin;
- completely remove the piston cylinder unit from the engine block stud bolts.
If removing the piston separately, first remove the cylinder and then remove the piston, following the procedure just described.
Mark the pistons so that they can be fitted in their cylinders in the correct direction. The letter A indicates the intake side and the letter S indicates the exhaust side.
