- 2. The start lock switch is in the Run position.
- 3. Side stop is complicated.
- 4. Neutral gear engaged.
- 5. The connectors on the ignition coils are clean and not oxidized.
- 6. All elements of the ignition system are securely fixed.
- 7. Spark plugs in working order.
To diagnose the ignition system, you will need a multimeter and some knowledge in the field of electrical engineering. It's also a good idea to have an aerosol contact cleaner on hand. If you are not sure that you can independently diagnose the ignition system, contact a specialist.
If oxidation is found on the connector pins, apply a contact cleaner to the pins and disconnect and reattach the connector several times.
To diagnose, you must first remove the seat (see «Seat - removal and installation»), fuel tank (see «Fuel tank - removal and installation») and right side trim (see «Side trims - removal and installation»). Also, for the convenience of carrying out work, it is recommended to remove the turn signal relay from the bracket and take it to the side.
